•     Repeated short distance driving
•     Extensive Idling
•     Driving in dusty conditions/ Rough roads
•     Driving in cold conditions
•     Driving in sandy areas
•     More than 50% driving in heavy city driving in hot weather
•     Driving in mountainous areas
•     Towing a trailer
•     Continuous high speed driving

According to this list almost all cars would be classed as used under severe driving conditions, so the recommendations of the car manufacturers is that most vehicles should be serviced every 5-7500 km.
