How often should you service your car. Part 1...

This is the million dollar question asked by all good mechanics. The first thing is if the motor vehicle is under new vehicle warranty, if so the vehicle will need to be serviced as per the manufacturers specifications. Here is a quote from a Hyundai service manual:

The Required scheduled maintenance may be carried out by other than Hyundai dealers, however the service provider must comply with the requirements of the warranty and issue detailed auditable invoice documentation to substantiate that the maintenance was carried out per manufacturers recommendation for the warranty to remain valid."

One other thing to consider while the vehicle is under warranty is that all parts & Oils must meet or exceed the manufacturers specification, they don’t need to be genuine.
